Anna is a 23 year old who was raised in a family where an imagination was more important than what shoes you were wearing (probably more-so because we rarely wore them!) I grew up with a mom and sister who read more than they breathed, (and a dad but I’m not sure if he can actually read or not, he says he can,) and many dragons following her (and her sister) home from school!

I’ve been interested in books from a very young age. Our mother used to read us stories from a Grimm’s fairytale book that was kept on our nightstand between mine and my sisters bed. Life has always been full of fairytales, fantasical creatures, detectives, demons, angels and murder-mystery crime solving.

Book Nerds was born…

on July 22nd 2009. I got back into reading and ended up reading all of these amazing books, that I had no one to tell about. Some of them were so good I wanted to tell the whole world, and while I love them, just telling my mom and sister didn’t cut it. So I reverted back to what I had been doing since 2000: blogging. Little did I know that there was an entire community for book blogging!

Book Nerds has…

A few sponsored ads on the site, such as Google Adsense as well as ads from Amazon. The covers posted with reviews also link to Amazon, these ads provide VERY little in way of commission. (As in I’ve yet to be paid anything yet from any of them). We absolutely do not have any pre-paid sponsored ads, though.
